Knives Out

How to Watch:

Released early last September, Knives Out is classic story of “who dunnit”. Apart from having a brilliant story line, it also features eye-candy cinematic shots throughout. Director Rian Johnson, equipped with exceptionally talented cast members was able to pull through and come out with a stunning cinematic piece that draws some inspiration from Agatha Christie’s novels and Alfred Hitchcock films.

Star Wars: Rise of Sky Walker

How to Watch:

A franchise that has had pretty much had all of us hooked for the past 2 decades has finally come to an end… or beginning?

Rise of Sky Walker (a.k.a Episode IX) has been a long time coming and if you didn’t get the chance to watch it during it’s screenings in theatres, definitely take this time to catch up.

A perfect Bollywood romcom that is really easy to watch, especially along with family members. Casting the infamous Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the movie features some interesting monologues and brings a good balance of stress and laughter.

Gemini Man

How to Watch:

Director Ang Lee pushes the boundaries of cinema by filming the entire movie in high frame rate —120 frames per second (fps) and also de-aging the iconic leading actor in the movie - Will Smith. The movie has an interesting plot and great action sequences that manage to keep you hooked.

Ford v Ferrari

How to Watch:

A phenomenal cinematic masterpiece of man vs man and men vs machine. Based on a true story, Ford v Ferrari brings to light the achievements of race car driver Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby and spins the tale in a way that literally makes you feel like you’re sitting right in the cockpit. Matt Damon and Christian Bale bring some of their best performances till date and is an absolute must-watch.

Parasite

How to Watch:

Oscar award winner — Parasite has also been added to this list with its intriguing plot. Even though you’re probably going to have watch this one with subtitles on, this Korean movie is something special and as Bong Joon-ho (The Director) rightly said as he accepted his Oscar — “Once you overcome the 1-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films”.

How to Watch:

Actors Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie really come through on this classic drama and with the eye popping cinematography and fascinating storyline, it is guaranteed to keep you entertained. (An Apple Original)

Good Newwz

How to Watch:

Probably one of the easier movies to watch on this list. Good Newwz is essentially a social commentary with a good balance of comedy to level out the tension. Kareena Kapoor delivers one of her best monologues till date and is a great family-watch.

Spenser Confidential

How to Watch:

Spenser Confidential is a Netflix original that stars the extremely talented Mark Wahlberg and his musical equivalent — Post Malone. An action-packed movie that draws inspiration from the novel — Wonderland by Ace Atkins and does not fail to keep you engaged throughout.

Zombieland: Double Tap

How to Watch:

Think ‘The Walking Dead’ except a lot lighter with a good sense of humour. Just as things start to get intense, the stress is diffused with comedic one-liners by the talented cast in the move that include Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson among others.
